The visitor benefits from empty cabins or rooms being available at the last minute and the cruise ships or resorts benefit from having that otherwise empty room or cabin occupied with a paying customer albeit at a lower discounted rate. Not every resort or cruise ship offer these last minute discounts so a little shopping around can easily turn into big savings. Don’t hesitate to ask when speaking to the reservations agent about a last minute deal as sometimes if you don’t ask, they won’t tell.
